Delta Gamma

Zeta Upsilon Chapter at Furman University

Philanthropy Events

Delta Gamma women understand that giving back is essential to a complete college experience. Our chapter hosts multiple philanthropy events each year and always makes sure to show our support at the philanthropy events of other organizations on campus.

Anchor Splash encompasses an afternoon of fun events such as a hot-dog eating contest, live music, and pool relay games that benefit our national philanthropy, Service for Sight. The Delta Gamma Foundation strives to educate and bring awareness to others about visual disabilities and impairments.

Do Good Week is the week leading up to Anchor Splash. Sisters hold a series of events on campus to raise money for the Delta Gamma Foundation and the South Carolina School for the Deaf and Blind. This past year, 2022, we held a thrift shop, sold succulents, held a cookie sale, and gave out sunglasses outside the library.

DG Milk and Cookies occurs during the spring semester, in which Delta Gammas will provide a snack of cookies and milk and hand-deliver them anywhere on campus. All proceeds benefit South Carolina's School for the Deaf and Blind and the Delta Gamma Foundation.

Scoops for Sight, our other spring event, is an ice cream social held on Furman's campus. This event also raises money for The Delta Gamma Foundation.
